Signorino Brisbane Stone Gallery
Brisbane’s new Stone Gallery brings together natural stone, tile and timber in an immersive environment created for architects, designers and clients to experience materials at scale.
Designed by Flack Studio and built by Cobild, the new Signorino and Woodcut destination moves beyond the traditional showroom model. Full slabs of natural stone sit alongside timber, tile and complementary architectural surfaces, allowing complete material palettes to be considered within one space.
Throughout the gallery, Pittella architectural hardware, tapware and bathroom fittings add another layer to this material experience.
From the clarity of Polished Chrome against expressive natural stone to the warmth of Satin Bronze against timber and Natural Brass integrated within joinery, the Pittella specification demonstrates how the smallest architectural elements can contribute to the way a material palette is experienced.
Materials in Conversation
One of the defining ideas behind Brisbane Stone Gallery is the opportunity to experience materials together.
Natural stone is inherently individual. Its veining, movement, colour and scale can be difficult to understand from a small sample alone. Viewed as a full slab and alongside timber, tile, metal and other finishes, its relationship to the wider interior becomes much clearer.
The same principle applies to architectural hardware and fittings.
A handle is rarely experienced in isolation. It sits against a door, timber veneer or joinery surface. Tapware responds to the stone, tile and light surrounding it. Even smaller details such as flush plates and bathroom accessories become part of the overall material composition.
At Signorino Brisbane, Pittella products can be experienced within exactly this kind of context.

Polished Chrome Against Natural Stone
Within the bathroom spaces, Pittella’s UP Plus Basin Mixer and UP Plus Shower in Polished Chrome provide a precise counterpoint to the expressive natural stone.
Designed and manufactured in Italy by Treemme Italy, UP Plus is characterised by its clean geometry, refined proportions and minimal architectural language. Crafted in Leaf free brass, the collection has been designed to balance visual simplicity with functionality, extending across basin, bath and shower applications.
It is this restraint that makes UP Plus particularly effective within the richly layered material environment of Brisbane Stone Gallery. Rather than competing with the movement and character of the stone, the fittings sit quietly within the architecture.

Polished Chrome adds another dimension. Its reflective surface responds to the colour, movement and light around it, creating a crisp contrast against the natural stone without introducing another dominant material tone.
The same design language continues into the shower, creating consistency across the bathroom while allowing the stone to remain the defining material.

Beyond the Door Handle
The same attention to material relationships continues through the architectural hardware.
Pittella’s Safety door handle in Satin Bronze brings warmth to the gallery’s timber surfaces, while its restrained form sits quietly within the broader interior.
Importantly, the specification extends beyond the lever itself. Safety is paired with Pittella’s concealed latch and complementary face plate, allowing the visible components of the door hardware to be considered as one coordinated system.
When a door is closed, the lever is naturally the dominant piece of hardware. As the door opens, however, the door edge, latch and face plate become visible. Coordinating these elements creates a cleaner, more resolved result and carries the finish and detailing through every visible component of the door.

The Details that Complete the Bathroom
A considered bathroom specification extends beyond stone and tapware.
The Siena Flush Plate by Treemme Italy, available through Pittella, carries the same considered approach into one of the bathroom’s more functional elements. Its clean, understated design allows it to sit comfortably alongside the UP Plus tapware and the surrounding stone.
Rather than treating elements such as flush plates and accessories as an afterthought, considering them as part of the broader bathroom specification creates greater continuity across the space.

Natural Brass within the Joinery
Pittella also appears beyond the bathroom and door hardware through the La Letta Integrated Fridge Pull in Natural Brass.
Integrated within the gallery’s joinery, La Letta provides a tactile point of interaction while maintaining the clean architectural treatment of the cabinetry.
Natural Brass introduces another material response.
Where Polished Chrome sits against expressive stone and Satin Bronze complements timber, Natural Brass brings warmth and depth to the joinery.

Together, the different finishes demonstrate that a cohesive interior does not necessarily require a single metal finish throughout. Different finishes can instead be selected in response to the materials immediately surrounding them.
Designed to be experienced in Context
There is an important difference between viewing an individual product and experiencing it as part of an interior.
A finish sample communicates colour and texture. A product image communicates form. But seeing hardware, tapware and fittings installed alongside stone, timber and joinery reveals how those elements work together.
At Brisbane Stone Gallery, Pittella can be experienced in precisely this way.
Polished Chrome can be considered against natural stone. Satin Bronze against timber. Natural Brass within joinery.
The setting provides architects, designers and clients with an opportunity to experience Pittella products and finishes as they are intended to be seen — within the architecture and alongside the materials that surround them.
For Pittella, this reflects an approach refined over 50 years; an understanding that the success of a detail lies not only in the product itself, but in how its form, function, material and finish contribute to the wider interior.
