Frank O. Gehry

Gehry was born into a Polish-Jewish family in Toronto, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Architecture in 1954. A creative child, his mother introduced him to the world of art. His use of steel and other materials was partly inspired by spending Saturday mornings at his grandfather's hardware store.
